New hobby

As a Relief Society activity last weekend we went to the archery range and I think I found a new hobby. I'm really not good at it at all, but it was a lot of fun. Somehow I managed to hit myself with the bow string twice in the arm which left me with a bruise about the size of a tennis ball. But despite the injuries I think I'll be going back again.

Halloween

For Halloween this year a group of us decided to be a foosball team. We quickly ditched the PVC pipe after taking pictures because it was way too hard to dance with all of us connected. Our ward was responsible for setting up a lounge area at the dance which is pictured below. It turned out really cool. I didn't get a picture with all of the apothecary jars full of slimy stuff and body parts sadly, but everyone seemed to love it.

Shana's Wedding

October 22nd one of my old roommates and good friends, Shana, got married here in LA. I was one of her bridesmaids and got to help with all the festivities. We had a great bridal shower here and a bachelorette party at The Grove. Turns out that they don't let you go up to people at The Grove and do things like ask for a dollar for your honeymoon fund, ask for a piggy back ride, or for marriage advice. Sadly Shana only got to do 7 things before security shut us down. The actual day of the wedding was beautiful. It really couldn't have been better weather. It did get really foggy at night, but things turned out great. Shana and Steve looked great and were really happy so I guess that's all that matters.
